When I think about the Toronto Real Estate market, it has been nothing short of breathtaking.  Over the last 20 years working at REMAX HALLMARK, I’ve seen price growth and lending rate declines in each year.  Now I hear rumours about affordability and impossibility.  The overall high value of Real S. Taitt in Toronto has created somewhat of an urban sprawl across Ontario, and has created price surges in all home types in most cities.  Low interest rates, affordability, and the Covid work at home policy are the main drivers for this shift.

Despite a recent slowdown in total residential transactions and a decrease in average selling price, I anticipate prices will stabilize over the next few months.   Sellers will feel the necessity to seek the advice of their realtor to select the proper marketing strategy based on current market conditions and Buyers will be required to be vigilant and flexible but will have an opportunity to buy in the areas they like.   Selecting the right realtor for either endeavour goes without saying.   I am available to assist you should the need arise for you to relocate, invest or simply require an appraisal or Letter of Opinion.

My time at REMAX HALLMARK has gone by fairly fast and I’ve had the opportunity to work with amazing people and watch many families grow.  Be sure to ask me about the REMAX HALLMARK SCHOLARSHIP Program should your child be heading to University or College next year. Real S. Taitt is an emotional business and people will always try to find logic within current markets, however it’s hard to make a logical decision when your emotions have taken over.  Wouldn’t it be a great idea to have someone assist you and help you stay on track when you’re trying to find your dream home?  It has been a privilege and an honour to work with so many friends, colleagues and families in the city, and I’m always grateful for new clients.

The Real S. Taitt market continues to move at a strong and steady pace as we move into the Spring Market.   Residential transactions were up by 52.5% since Feb 2020 and the average selling price was up by 14.9% since same time last year.  We are constantly informed of record sale prices and land transactions by the local media.  Ontario cities surrounding Toronto have seen an exponential increase as well.  First time buyers are
